During a Wednesday afternoon radio interview on WFAN, New York Knicks owner James Dolan said he believed the New York Post got it right with its cover suggesting Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama deserved a flagrant foul for his contact against Jalen Brunson in Game 3.

“I’m a governor of the NBA, and I’m restricted and bound by the rules of the NBA, of which there are a lot,” Dolan said when asked about the officiating. “So there’s little that I can say. I will say if you read the cover of the New York Post today, I think they got it right, which hopefully won’t get me in trouble.”

The Post’s cover featured a photo of Wembanyama pushing Brunson with the caption: “Wanted for crimes against the Knicks.” It also said that Wembanyama was wanted for the charge of a flagrant foul.

“But look, in the end, it’s not who we play, and it’s not the officiating,” Dolan said. “It’s how we play. If the team that comes out on the floor tonight is the Knicks team that we know and love, if they come out, there’s nothing that can stop them. Not missed calls. Not 7-foot-4 aliens. Nothing will stop them if they play their game. I believe in these guys. I believed in them when I was here the first time. And everybody who’s here should believe in them too because they can do it.”

Dolan also predicted that the Knicks would win Game 4 and capture their first NBA championship since 1973.
