Jimmy Butler on facing Heat in Miami: It doesn’t make any difference how I’m received

Because they’ve rated second defensively (108.6 points per possessions) since Butler’s first game in royal blue and gold, the Warriors are poised to respond Tuesday in Miami so long as they defend with more effort and cohesion. Kerr is expecting a “great atmosphere. You lose a game like this, you’ve got to respond, especially with where we are in the playoff picture.”  Butler starred five-plus seasons for Miami and twice led the Heat to the NBA Finals. His midseason trade request, granted last month, revitalized Golden State’s once-wayward season. Green said “it’s a big game” for Butler and Warriors-turned-Heat wing Andrew Wiggins. “Just like we want to win for Jimmy, they want to win for Wiggs,” Green said. “We’ve got to come out ready to play.” Butler said the matchup is “going to be another game for me. Another game we’re expected to win, for sure so we’ve got to figure it out and figure it out very quickly. … It doesn’t make any difference (how I’m received). I’m a member of the Golden State Warriors. I love that fan base … but I’m there to win now. I’m on the opposing team.”Source: San Francisco Chronicle
