The Dallas Mavericks have made no secret of their plans in the 2025 NBA Draft since winning the draft lottery. Dallas made it known they weren’t interested in trading the first overall pick and plan to select forward Cooper Flagg of Duke.
The Mavs are so locked in on Flagg, that he’s the only first-round prospect the team is meeting with ahead of the draft. The Duke freshman will visit Dallas on June 17.
Flagg has been considered the top overall pick in the 2025 draft class since he reclassified and graduated a year early from Montverde Academy in 2024. After excelling in his lone season with the Blue Devils, 18-year-old forward’s status at the top of the draft has been confirmed.
