The Detroit Pistons have re-signed guard Kevin Huerter and guard/forward Javonte Green.
Huerter, 6’6″, 190, joined the Pistons in February as part of a three-team trade that sent Jaden Ivey to the Chicago Bulls. In 25 games with Detroit, he averaged 8.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 44.3% from the field. An eight-year NBA veteran who played collegiately at the University of Maryland, Huerter was selected 19th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2018 NBA Draft. He has appeared in 551 career NBA games with Atlanta, Sacramento, Chicago and Detroit, averaging 11.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists while shooting 36.8% from beyond the arc for his career.
Green, 6’5”, 205, returns to Detroit after signing with the Pistons as a free agent in 2025. In a career-high 82 games last season, he averaged 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.7 assists while shooting 44.7% from the field. He was the only Pistons player to appear in all 82 regular-season games during the 2025-26 campaign. A seven-year NBA veteran out of Radford University, Green went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft. He has appeared in 345 career NBA games with Boston, Chicago, New Orleans, Cleveland and Detroit Pistons, averaging 5.7 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.
