A former Toronto Raptors draft pick is going to get a chance to extend his NBA career in New Orleans.
Koloko will compete for the final spot on the Pelicans roster, Scotto reported.
Picked 33rd overall by the Raptors in the 2022 draft, the six-foot-11 Cameroon native had a blood-clot issue midway through his first season in Toronto.
He was waived by the Raptors in January 2024 and was deemed medically ineligible to play by the NBA.
Koloko, 26, was cleared to return about a month after signing with the Los Angeles Lakers in September 2024.
After playing 37 games with the Lakers in 2024-25, Koloko split last season between Los Angeles, the Memphis Grizzlies, the Atlanta Hawks and the G-League.
Koloko has averaged 2.8 points and 2.8 rebounds and 12.3 minutes in 122 career NBA games.
