RL: Why not? Why not enter the draft? I feel like I get that question a lot. I don’t know. I don’t know, I wanna—whoa, let me see. How do I…? Why do you think? What would be your answer?
Like you said, this is the best year to position yourself for the first round, less competition than in most draft classes.
Yeah. So we’re on the right page then.I feel like a lot of people always bring up, like, “Oh, he’s missing out on money if he goes back to college.” But, like, I guess it’s like people wanna say one thing and they disregard the other thing. And, you know, you’ve got guys in the NBA making 30, 40 million a year, compared to five million. So, you know, it’s a very big difference.
This is the best year to put yourself in a position to not only be drafted, but also land in a spot that, in another draft class, might’ve been more competitive — that’s how I see it.
Yeah, 100%. Like, for me, even when I went to St. John’s, I had a ton of other options, you know, as far as materialistic things and how much money I could’ve gotten. So, the focus has always been just trying to put myself in the best position to be successful when it comes to basketball.
