Steph Curry to miss sixth straight game, but Warriors hope for Kristaps Porziņģis’ debut

SAN FRANCISCO — Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Boston Celtics, coach Steve Kerr announced after Wednesday’s practice. This will be the sixth consecutive game Curry has missed because of runner’s knee. Kerr said Curry did not participate in Wednesday’s practice and might need another MRI. Curry will be re-evaluated by the Warriors’ medical staff Wednesday night.

Kerr also said big man Kristaps Porziņģis went through all of Wednesday’s practice, and he is hopeful Porziņģis will make his Warriors debut Thursday. Porziņģis, who was acquired just before the trade deadline from the Atlanta Hawks, hasn’t played since Jan. 7. Porziņģis has played in only 59 games in the last two seasons because of various health issues.
