In 2025, we witnessed significant shifts in recruiting, driven by the increased popularity of the NCAA transfer portal and reductions in maximum college roster sizes. We continue to see spikes in velocity for pitchers at every level of the sport, and as a result, more injuries.
The New England prep baseball scene continues to accumulate talent, as more high school prospects enroll at prep schools while looking to extend their respective recruiting windows. We’ve also noticed a trend of prospects making stops at multiple prep schools as they search for the right fits.
