As the Florida Gators continue building their 2026 recruiting class, one key metric helps illustrate the overall quality of the haul: blue-chip percentage. With several Rivals300 prospects already on board, Florida’s current class is made up largely of four-star talent. That is a sign of both recruiting momentum and long-term roster building under Billy Napier. In this breakdown, we take a closer look at the Gators’ blue-chip rate for 2026.

The Florida Gators have a top-15-ranked 2026 class

The Florida Gators entered the summer sitting well outside of the top-75 in the Rivals team rankings for the class of 2026. The Gators had only two commitments on board at that time. We’ve seen this staff go on heavy commitment runs during the summer, and that was no different this year. June and July led to serious momentum for UF on the trail. The Gators sit with 18 commitments on board, and now have the class sitting at No. 14 in Rivals Team Recruiting Rankings. Florida’s class ranks No. 7 in the SEC, and is made up of 10 commitments residing in the Sunshine State

Four and five-star recruits are tabbed as Blue-Chip prospects, and the Florida Gators class has a Blue-Chip haul of 72%. The Gators’ class has some balance, but so far, the majority of the attention from the staff has gone a bit more towards one side of the ball. 11 commitments in Florida’s class are on offense, while the other seven are on the defensive side of the ball. Tupelo (Miss.) 4-star edge JaReylan McCoy headlines the class according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. Most of the teams ranked ahead of the Gators at Rivals have more commitments than Florida. However, only Miami, LSU, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Oregon, and Georgia have a higher blue-chip percentage.
