Denver Pioneers junior guard Jocelyn Medina joins Rider Broncs sophomore guard Emmy Roach as the two transfer additions for the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
Medina averaged 6.4 points on a shooting split of 41.0 field goal percentage/20.3 three-point percentage/92.1 free throw percentage, 2.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.1 steals in 19.0 minutes played across 28 contests in the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Arbuckle, California, she started her collegiate career at the College of the Sequoias. Medina was named the 2024-25 Northern California Player of the Year after leading her team to a flawless 28-0 regular-season record and a Central Valley Conference championship.
Coach Lisa Fortier’s backcourt depth has been quickly refilled to replace sophomore guard Paige Lofing (transferred to the Big Sky Conference’s Montana Grizzlies) and senior guard Ines Bettencourt (graduated).
Gonzaga’s 2026-27 roster now has 13 of its 15 available spots filled. The 2026 high school recruiting class consists of only 6-1 forward Abby Lusk from Pocatello, Idaho.
