Jun Seok Yeo should get at least two cracks against Gonzaga in West Coast Conference play next season. Seattle University is set to join the league officially on July 1, 2025.
The 6’8 junior forward didn’t get much run in Spokane, but that will completely change for him under Seattle coach Chris Victor. During his two campaigns with the Zags, Seok Yeo never cracked the rotation. He only played 5.9 minutes per game in 39 appearances. Seok Yeo had a career average of 2.1 points and 1.0 rebounds per game under coach Mark Few.
Representing South Korea in the 2021 FIBA U-19 World Cup, Seok Yeo averaged 25.6 points (ranked No. 1), 10.6 rebounds (ranked No. 2), and 2.1 steals per game (tied for No. 4) while going up against players like two Gonzaga legends in Chet Holmgren (USA) and Ryan Nembhard (Canada).
The flashes of his pure athleticism in the low post/off the dribble moves into his mid-range jumpers and speed plus strength on the fast break at 220 pounds were seen consistently throughout the tournament in Latvia.
Gonzaga’s coaching staff is currently looking through the transfer portal for guards as well as help out on the wing. Here are two names that seem to stand out the most: Arizona State’s Adam Miller and Cal’s Andrej Stojakovic.
