After a trip to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16, the offseason has been very impressive for Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats. The Wildcats have arguably been the busiest program in the transfer portal.

While the transfer portal is officially closed for players to enter, there are still athletes looking for a new home. Pope and his staff are not done doing whatever they can to improve their squad, but they are certainly pleased with what has transpired.

Over the weekend, the Kentucky Wildcats, a proud program looking to return to the NCAA Tournament title game for the first time since 2014, announced their additions together for the first time.

The four players introduced, Denzel Aberdeen from Florida, Jaland Lowe out of Pittsburgh, Mouhamed Dioubate from Alabama and Kam Williams, out of Tulane.

Abderdeen is familiar with the SEC and Kentucky’s program. He spent three seasons with the Gators and played in 83 games. During the 2024-25 season, he averaged 7.7 points per game. He was part of the Florida squad that won the 2025 NCAA Tournament title.

Jaland Lowe comes from the Atlantic Coast Conference, where he played two seasons with the Pittsburgh Panthers. He appeared in 64 games over two seasons and started 50 of them. Last season, he led the Panthers with 16.8 points per game. Pittsburgh was eliminated by Notre Dame in the first round of the ACC Tournament, despite Lowe scoring 17 points.

Kam Williams is a 6-foot-8 guard who played for Ron Hunter at Tulane. He averaged 9.3 points per game for the Green Wave over 33 games. Tulane finished 19-15 during the 2024–25 season.

Mouhamed Dioubate is a 6-foot-7 forward from Queens. He played in 70 games with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Dioubate averaged 16 minutes per game, scoring 7.2 points and grabbing 5.9 rebounds per game last season. In the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight game against Duke, he scored six points in an 85-65 loss.

A fifth addition, Jayden Quaintance, was unable to attend the event in Lexington but will be on campus later this summer.
