Bryson Howard is firmly on the radar of college basketball’s elite schools, and the Kentucky Wildcats are among the many programs showing interest.

The 6-foot-4, 175-pound guard out of Heritage High School (TX) turned heads during the NCAA’s first live evaluation period, lighting it up for Pro Skills Elite on the Nike EYBL U16 circuit. Averaging 26.8 points per game while shooting 42.3% from beyond the arc (11/26), Howard also added 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 steals per outing.

According to Jacob Polacheck of KSR+, UK assistant coaches Alvin Brooks III and Mikhail McLean reached out following a recent event to express their interest. While the Wildcats have not yet extended an offer, the contact signals that Kentucky is doing its homework on one of the fastest-rising prospects in the 2026 class.

Programs like Tennessee, Georgetown, Houston, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Texas, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma have already taken notice, and Kentucky now joins that growing list.

Howard’s upside becomes even more intriguing, considering his pedigree. He’s the son of former NBA All-Star Josh Howard, who spent a decade in the league, mostly with the Dallas Mavericks.

With NBA bloodlines, a refined scoring touch, and Kentucky’s attention, Bryson Howard is a name to remember in 2026.

Currently, none of the major recruit sites have a thorough evaluation of Howard, though he is a 3-star recruit at On3.
