According to a report from CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander, Gonzaga Bulldogs coach Mark Few has been inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame after his second straight year of being a finalist. Other members of the Class of 2026 include Amar’e Stoudemire, Candace Parker, Elena Delle Donne, and Doc Rivers, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.

A major personal accomplishment for the leader of the Zags for the last 27 years. During that span, Few hasn’t missed the NCAA Tournament and has had two national championship appearances in 2017 and 2021. The legend has also coached 32 former players (and counting) to have competed in the NBA, 19 of whom were draft picks and 11 who were named All-Americans.

Take a look at some more of Few’s milestones during his tenure in the Pacific Northwest since 1999:

Few, the winningest active NCAA Division I coach by a winning percentage at 83.2 percent with a 773-156 overall record, is behind one of the greatest stories in the history of college basketball. He turned a small Jesuit university in Spokane, Washington, on the mid-major level into a national powerhouse. And it was done the right way, no cutting corners.

Now, Few’s name will be etched in Springfield, Massachusetts, forever. This 2026 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame class will be officially announced on Apr. 4 on ESPN2, coinciding with the NCAA Final Four weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana. Few and his family will be in town to support Arizona Wildcats coach Tommy Lloyd.
