Two Zags from different eras in Rasir Bolton and Kevin Pangos will be teaming up in the backcourt in Naples, Italy. Napoli basketball competes in the Lega Basket Serie A.
Bolton started his post-college basketball stint with the Antwerp Giants in Belgium from 2023-24 and was recently with Spartak Subotica in Serbia from 2024-25. He was named to the BNXT League Dream Team while in Belgium after averaging 17.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
During his time with Spartak, Bolton came across KK Crvena Zvezda’s Filip Petrusev in the ABA League in Serbia. He hit the game-winning lay-up while drawing contact from Petrusev on the finish.
Pangos has had quite the professional career that has taken him around the world, spending time in Spain, Lithuania, Russia, and Italy. The now 32-year-old had a stint in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2021-22 season.
He put together 10.0 points, 6.7 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game with Napoli this past season. Pangos’ trophy case is filled with high honors such as being named to the All-West Coast Conference First Team, 2015 WCC Player of the Year, All-EuroLeague Second Team in 2018, All-EuroLeague First Team in 2021, All-EuroCup Second Team in 2016, and much more. He has been considered one of the best point guards overseas for the last decade.
