Two years removed from averaging 22.2 points and 4.4 assists-per-game at Iona, Walter Clayton Jr. is now a National Champion and NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player for the Florida Gators.
After back-to-back 30-point games in the Elite Eight and Final Four, Clayton was quiet for most of the NCAA Championship against Houston. But his one three-pointer tied the game at 60 with 3:14 to go before preventing Emanuel Sharp from getting a shot up for the Cougars before the final buzzer sounded.
