The Alabama Crimson Tide will welcome the LSU Tigers to Bryant-Denny Stadium for their annual November showdown in Week 11 of the 2025 college football season Saturday.
It’s always a big game when Alabama and LSU meet this time of year, regardless of their records and where the teams are ranked in the top 25 polls. The Tide and Tigers have two of the biggest brands in college football, the talent to match, and similarly sky-high expectations coming into every season.
Alabama (7-1 overall, 5-0 SEC) is ranked No. 4 in both the US LBM Coaches Poll and the first College Football Playoff rankings, unveiled on Tuesday. Coach Kalen DeBoer’s team defeated South Carolina, 29-22, in its last game after rallying from an eight-point deficit in the final two minutes and change for their seventh straight win.
LSU (5-3, 2-3) is unranked, dropping three of its last four games after climbing to No. 3 in the polls following a 4-0 start. The Tigers fired coach Brian Kelly on Oct. 26, a day after a 42-25 blowout loss to Texas A&M. Frank Wilson will serve as LSU’s interim coach for the remainder of the season.
TV announcers for Alabama-LSU football game
Ahead of Alabama-LSU, ESPN announced who will have the call of Saturday’s game in Tuscaloosa. Sean McDonough and former Crimson Tide quarterback Greg McElroy will call the action from the booth at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Molly McGrath will report from the sidelines.
Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on ABC.
McDonough and McElroy will be working their third Alabama game this season. The pair previously called the Tide’s 30-14 win over Vanderbilt on Oct. 4, and more recently their 37-20 victory over the Tennessee Volunteers in the Third Saturday in October rivalry on Oct. 18.
The duo of McDonough and McElroy is ESPN and ABC’s No. 2 broadcast crew behind Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit.
Will Alabama football play LSU in 2026?
Alabama will play LSU at Tiger Stadium in 2026 before the two teams meet again — in 2028. With the SEC’s future scheduling announcement in September, the Tigers won’t return to Tuscaloosa in 2027, which will mark the first time in over 60 years that Alabama and LSU won’t play in the regular season.
The Crimson Tide and Tigers have played every year since 1964.
