Meet The Wife Of Ohio State Coach Ryan Day (1:51)

College football fans are weighing in on Ohio State’s decision on a White House visit in 2025.

The Buckeyes are coming off arguably the most impressive national title run of all-time. Ohio State took down Tennessee, Oregon, Texas and Notre Dame on way to the College Football Playoff national championship. The Buckeyes went 10-2 in the regular season, finishing the year with a loss to Michigan, but they got the job done when it counted most.

Now, Ohio State will be visiting the White House next month. Ryan Day confirmed the decision on the White House visit on Monday morning.

Day announced that it will be a great “honor” to visit the White House in Washington, D.C. next month. The Buckeyes will be visiting President Trump in the White House on April 14.

“Yeah, it’s an honor to be invited. We were formally invited,” he said. “I remember growing up and watching the national championship teams go to the White House. I always looked at that, like, ‘Man, what an honor that would be.’ So, it’s part of the celebration of our team. I think the (Philadelphia) Eagles are maybe going before us, but I think our date is April 14, so looking forward to getting that all planned out.”

The Eagles will be visiting the White House at the end of April.

College football fans are reacting to the decision on social media on Monday.

“JD will be excited!” one fan wrote, noting that Vice President J.D. Vance attended Ohio State.

“They’re bringing in Day and Jeremiah Smith to assist in trade negotiations,” one fan joked.

“Ryan Day and The Ohio State Buckeyes will be accepting the offer to the White House. You would think that this would be an automatic but some unAmerican teams have declined the invite over the years,” one fan added.

“Making White House visits, playing spring game, now that’s a progrum,” one fan aded.

“I cannot love this enough! January 20th was a double great day. So glad they will be going,” one fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see what President Trump has to say about Ohio State’s national title season.
