Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers are putting together one of the top 2027 recruiting classes in the country, and they just had a banner day.
Within the span of a few hours, Swinney and his staff landed three elite 2027 commitments to a class that very well could end up being one of the best in the country when all is said and done.
Dabo Swinney, Clemson earn commitments from elite recruits
The first commitment came from four-star EDGE Desmond Malpress from Jacksonville, Fla. Malpress chose the Tigers over South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Florida and Florida State, but the Gamecocks were really Clemson’s biggest competition in this one.
An official visit to Clemson this past weekend sealed the deal for Malpress.
“Clemson has felt like family even before my official visit,” he told Rivals. “They brought me in with open arms. It’s a great winning program led by Coach Swinney and their academics are amazing as well.”
