Notre Dame lands four-star RB Isaiah Rogers

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have now picked up a pair of elite 2027 running back recruits.

First, it was four-star running back Lathan Whisenton, ranked as the No. 19 running back in the country.

Now, it’s being reported that Isaiah Rogers, a four-star running back from Springfield, Massachusetts, has committed to the Fighting Irish.

Rogers visited on March 21 for a junior-day recruiting event and liked everything he saw. In fact, that was a turning point in his recruitment.

“The visit really opened my eyes to a lot of things,” Rogers told Kyle Kelly of Rivals. “Not just for football, but after football — the networking and the Notre Dame degree.”

That’s not to say that football didn’t matter, though.

Rogers admitted that he was impressed with running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider and, of course, head coach Marcus Freeman.

“I mean, Coach Seider is sending four running backs to the league now. It really opened my eyes to a lot of opportunities,” Rogers said.
