The Big Ten media days will be moving towards the West Coast in 2025.
Typically, the Big Ten media days are in Midwest cities like Indianapolis but due to recent expansion, the conference moved the media days further out west.
This year’s Big Ten media days will be spread out over three days from July 22-24 from Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
Media days for each conference are held each year during the summer month and are used as a way for coaches and players to answer questions from the media. They discuss their outlook for the upcoming season and anything else the media wants to ask.

The change in location for Big Ten media days has made some college football fans on social media not thrilled.
“Is this a precursor for the Big Ten adding UNLV? If it is, neat. If it’s not, it’s really stupid and will limit the coverage the league will get from student newspapers, bloggers, freelancers, and newspapers struggling financially,” one tweet read.
“I’ve been to Vegas in July before. My eyeballs dried out from the 120-degree temps. Walgreens had a line out the door of people buying gallon jugs of water,” another tweet read.
“Don’t like it. Knew it was coming. Still don’t like it,” another tweet read.
“Great way to ensure that no media attends Big Ten Media Days,” another tweet read.
2025 will be the first year since 2019 that the Big Ten media days take place in a city other than Indianapolis.
Oregon won the Big Ten title during the 2024 season but Ohio State got the last laugh, winning its first national title in a decade.
Ohio State will look to ride that momentum into Big Ten media days and the 2025 season.
