Arch Manning hasn’t just been in the lab this offseason, he’s also been in the film room.
And while he doesn’t have to look too far for quarterback role models given that his uncles are Peyton and Eli, those aren’t the QBs he says he’s been studying as he prepares for his first year starting at Texas.
“I’m watching a lot of Josh Allen and Joe Burrow right now. Those are my guys,” Arch said at the Manning Passing Academy. “They’re dogs. I’ve watched some of their college film. They’re just good players, elite competitors and fun to watch.”
Allen in particular is who Arch says he’s really zeroed-in on— which makes sense given some of their shared physical traits and mobility.
“He’s just the ultimate football player. If something’s not there he’s going to make something happen and do whatever he can to make his team win,” Manning said.
Manning is not only the Heisman Trophy favorite but also the presumptive No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft should he choose to come out after next season.

Playing behind Quinn Ewers, Arch has only made spot starts here and there in Austin but flashed some major potential in those few appearances with 939 yards, 13 total touchdowns and a 184.0 passer rating.
Manning seemingly has all the tools to be successful in the family business and add to the 22 combined Pro Bowl appearances bearing his last name.
But it starts with putting the college football world on notice with a strong campaign in 2025.
