Two Miami Hurricanes student-athletes had multiple luxury cars stolen during a home burglary, and an arrest has been made in the case.
Three cars – a Mercedes, Lamborghini and a Range Rover – were stolen from a home occupied by football player Carson Beck and women’s basketball player Hanna Cavinder.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office arrested a man named Tykwon Deandre Anderson in conjunction with the incident, charging him with multiple crimes including grand theft of a vehicle.
Beck said that he and Cavinder were asleep when the incident began. According to a report from the sheriff’s office, Anderson and three other people arrived at the home in a rented vehicle.

Two of them jumped out of the car and into the driveway, where two of the cars were parked. After finding a garage door opener in one of those cars, they were able to gain access into the house to find the keys for the other ones.
Beck is set to play at Miami this season after spending the last four years at Georgia. He was projected to be a top pick in this year’s draft, but a combination of lackluster play and a season-ending injury caused him to rethink his position.
He chose to transfer to Miami, where he’ll attend the same school as his girlfriend Cavinder. Cavinder and her twin sister Haley are stars on the Hurricanes basketball team, and they’ve also gained a massive following on social media sites like Instagram and TikTok.

Both Cavinder and Beck have benefitted from their play in college through various NIL agreements, giving them the funds necessary to pay for the luxury cars they’ve bought and the home they live in.
Unfortunately, that level of fame, notoriety and wealth appears to have turned them into targets.
Cavinder’s Range Rover and Beck’s Mercedes have been recovered, but authorities are still unclear about the whereabouts of the quarterback’s Lamborghini.
We’ll see how the couple manages life on campus at Miami over the next few weeks, as Beck looks to take the Hurricanes to the top of the college football mountain this season – his last as a college football player.
