BYU football player Parker Kingston has been arrested and charged with a first-degree felony rape in Washington County, Utah, authorities confirmed.
According to the Washington County Attorney’s Office, 21-year-old Parker Trent Kingston was taken into custody Wednesday following an investigation into an alleged sexual assault that occurred in St. George on Feb. 23, 2025.
Investigators say the alleged victim, then 20 years old, reported the attack after seeking medical treatment at a hospital. Police gathered digital and forensic evidence, interviewed witnesses and forwarded their findings to prosecutors, who filed the felony charge.
Kingston is being held in the Washington County Jail without bail and is scheduled to appear in Utah’s Fifth Judicial District Court later this week.
BYU’s Statement
In a statement, BYU Athletics said, “BYU became aware today of the arrest of Parker Kingston. The university takes any allegation very seriously and will cooperate with law enforcement. Due to federal and university privacy laws and practices for students, the university will not be able to provide additional comment.”
Kingston was a leading receiver for BYU in the 2025 season and had announced plans to return to school rather than enter the NFL Draft. He finished the 2025 season with 66 catches for 924 yards and six touchdowns as the Cougars went 11-1 and reached the 2025 Big 12 Championship Game, which they lost to Texas Tech.
