College football Week 12 projected scores: Model predicts every FBS vs. FBS game

The College Football Playoff picture is starting to take shape and Week 12’s games will continue to clear up the race. My college football model has projected scores for all the big games, including Oklahoma at Alabama and Texas at Georgia.

The model takes into account past performance, returning talent and recruiting rankings. We then compare the model’s projections to the BetMGM lines for extra context. There is considerable uncertainty in these games, given the new coaches and rosters assembled through the transfer portal, but the model attempts to account for this.

In the biggest games of the week, Alabama is projected to beat Oklahoma by a touchdown and Georgia is also a touchdown-favorite against Texas.
