Colorado football stretched its impressive College Football Recruiting run to Memorial Day Monday. Fresh off landing four-star offensive tackle Li’Marcus Jones, CU and Deion Sanders landed a new four-star: Ex-South Carolina wide receiver commit Jaiden Kelly-Murray.
Kelly-Murray unveiled his decision via live stream from 247Sports. He originally picked up a Virginia Tech hat as the Hokies landed in his final running. But the talent from Oceanside Collegiate Academy in South Carolina put on a Buffaloes hat instead.
He also shared this message via Hayes Fawcett of On3/Rivals in helping quote Sanders.
“Seems to me I wasn’t hard to find because it was perfect timing,” Kelly-Murray shared to Fawcett.
He becomes the newest recruiting coup for Sanders and the Buffaloes’ 2027 class. Colorado added two verbal commits Sunday including Jones. Unranked cornerback Prince Washington from Houston Lamar joined the growing class nearly a couple hours after the Jones decision.
Kelly-Murray emerges as more than the newest blue chip talent coming to Boulder. He’s the first wide receiver verbal commit through new offensive coordinator Brennan Marion. The former Sacramento State head coach lands a new target for his explosive “Go-Go” offense that promises more one-on-one matchups and vertical deep passing, while mixed with downhill running through a two-back set.
Colorado gains a new go-to target for another four-star in quarterback Andre Adams. The Antioch, Tennessee dual-threat became the first blue chip talent to land with the Buffaloes’ 2027 class back in April. He now has two more four-stars to work with in Jones and Kelly-Murray.
