Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia struck quite a different pose after finishing far behind Fernando Mendoza in the Heisman Trophy voting on Saturday.
On his Instagram story, Pavia wrote “F-ALL THE VOTERS” with a thumbs-down emoji and also shared a post from comedian Theo Von: “But ….. Family for life.”

Mendoza dominated the Heisman voting with 643 first-place votes and 2,362 points, with Pavia finishing runner-up with 189 first-place votes and 1,435 points. The Indiana quarterback completed 71.5 percent of his passes for 2,980 yards and 33 touchdowns to lead the Hoosiers to a 13-0 record and the No. 1 seed in the CFP bracket.
Pavia completed 71.2 percent of his passes for 3,192 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also ran for 826 yards and nine touchdowns to lead Vanderbilt to a 10-2 record.
The Vandy star is as competitive and brash as they come, and he’s not one to keep silent often. Earlier this season, he got into a shouting match with an Alabama fan after Pavia predicted an easy Commodore victory earlier in the week. It didn’t turn out that way, with the Crimson Tide winning 31-14 on Oct. 4.
