The Georgia Bulldogs are on the board with one of the top tight ends in the 2025 class.
In fact, their newest pickup is darn near the best tight end in the country.
On Thursday, UGA landed 5-star tight end Jaxon Dollar from Denver, North Carolina.
Dollar, who checks in at 6-foot-5, 222 pounds, is ranked as the No. 2 tight end in the 2027 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s also the No. 33 player in the country regardless of position.
This was a big-time recruiting competition, but it’s one that Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs ended up winning.
Also in the running for Dollar’s commitment were the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Miami Hurricanes, Clemson Tigers and Texas Longhorns.
“There wasn’t a bad opportunity remaining on the board,” Dollar told Rivals through his brother, Cam. “Georgia checked the boxes on the things that were most important to me from a relationship standpoint, from a confidence standpoint, from an ability to win National Championships standpoint.
“Most of the schools remaining had all those great things but Georgia was just a little more in each category and gave that home feel. Being from a small town, Athens is what I can relate to most. Really enjoyed my conversations with Coach Kirby and Coach Hartley.”
