Nebraska is in the Dylan Raiola era right now, but one of the challenges of being a college football coach in 2025 and beyond is that you have to always be thinking about the future.
Heck, in the transfer portal and NIL era, even Raiola is not guaranteed to stick around at Nebraska for his entire college career. In fact, head coach Matt Rhule and the Huskers were lucky they were able to keep him in town for his sophomore season.
That makes recruiting wins for classes, even years down the road, important and Rhule and Nebraska just picked up a big one at the quarterback position.
Trae Taylor, four-star quarterback from Mundelein, Illinois, committed to the Huskers on Thursday.
He chose Nebraska over offers from LSU, Michigan and Texas A&M, though it total he boasts nearly 40 offers already as a 2027 recruit.
