The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to three-year contracts with free-agent quarterbacks Joe Fagnano and Diego Pavia, a league source confirmed to The Athletic on Tuesday.
After going undrafted last weekend, Fagnano accepted an invitation to attend the Ravens’ rookie minicamp, along with Pavia. However, both of their deals came to fruition before the team’s minicamp later this week.
Fagnano, 25, began his college career at Maine, an FCS school, before transferring to UConn in 2023. The NCAA granted him a hardship waiver due to a 2023 shoulder injury, allowing him to return for his seventh college season in 2025.
As the Huskies’ full-time starter last year, Fagnano passed for 3,448 yards and 28 touchdowns and threw just one interception. He was No. 270 on Dane Brugler’s top 300 draft big board and ranked as the 10th-best quarterback in the class.
Pavia, 24, led Vanderbilt to its first 10-win season in 2025 and became the school’s first Heisman Trophy finalist when he finished second in voting to Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza. However, Pavia’s name went uncalled in the 2026 draft, making him the first Heisman finalist not to be drafted since 2014 and the first runner-up to not be selected since 2003.
Fagnano and Pavia join starter Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley in Baltimore.
Rookie minicamps around the league are scheduled either for May 1-4 or May 8-11.
