According to media reports, UConn football’s coordinators are set, and the Huskies also have a new QB coach, WR coach, and OL coach, as well as general manager and other staff roles.
Nunzio Campanile is reportedly the offensive coordinator hire, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported. He comes to UConn from Syracuse, where he was the QB coach, and has deep roots in New Jersey, having coached at Rutgers and also at two New Jersey high school powers. He’s been an interim head coach at Rutgers and Syracuse and his brother Anthony is the defensive coordinator of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Syracuse Bio

Ryan Manalac is the new defensive coordinator, as reported by ESPN and On3. He spent the last five seasons as the linebackers coach at Pitt and was the defensive coordinator at FCS Bucknell and Division II Dominican University (OH). He’s led a strong crew of linebackers and hybrid players with the Panthers and also played in the NFL after earning a scholarship at Cincinnati as a walk-on. This is an impressive duo for the OC and DC hires. Both will bring a lot to recruiting and have had standout coaching and player-development success stories.
Pat Cashmore is the new special teams coordinator, according to multiple reports. He held that role at Washington State this past season and also at South Dakota State and Division II Pittsburg State. He spent 2016-2017 at Toledo with Candle as an offensive quality-control assistant. WSU Bio
On3 reported that Kevin Potter is expected to be named the new general manager. He held that role previously at Sacramento State this past season and before that worked in the UFL front office as he completed his degree under (blast from the past) Birmingham Stallions head coach Skip Holtz. Kerry Dixon II is reportedly the new WR coach. He was an offensive assistant for the Baltimore Ravens and comes to UConn from Kent State, where he was the WR coach, a role he also held at Georgia Tech and Florida. He worked with Jason Candle at Toledo as the RB coach from 2017-2018. Kent State Bio
John Morookian is joining that staff as O-line coach after spending 2025 at Michigan as an assistant OL coach, his second stint with the Wolverines. He was previously an OL coach at Charlotte, Kansas, and Akron, and played at Toledo, predating Castle’s arrival there.
