Jamie Dixon and TCU men’s basketball just landed a late signee in the 2026 class.
Wilbraham & Monson power forward Sam Fleming signed with the Horned Frogs on Thursday becoming just the second freshman at his position behind fellow newcomer Miloš Šojić.
Fleming is a 6-foot-7, 205-pound big man and the 31st power forward in his class, and the No. 8 prospect in his home state of Massachusetts. The three-star recruit netted similar offers from West Virginia, Mississippi State George Mason, George Washington and UMass.
It’s a young pickup for the TCU frontcourt already anchored by All-Big 12 forward Xavier Edmonds and Kansas City, Missouri, native Micah Robinson.
Fleming played for a couple of different high school teams during his prep career, and initially broke out during his first couple of years at Springfield International Charter School in Springfield, Massachusetts. He’d later transfer to Wilbraham & Monson Academy for the 2025-26 season while rehabbing from injury.
New England Recruiting Report described Fleming’s profile with the following:
“At his size, Fleming has a coveted skill set. He stands right around 6’8, and can really handle the rock and make plays for others with his passing vision. He’s improved as a shooting threat off the dribble over the years, rebounds the ball, and just makes plays. His best asset may be the way he processes the game as he brings top-tier basketball IQ to the floor, and is a player you trust with the ball in his hands.”
If this offseason told us anything, it’s that you can never have too many big men stockpiled and growing behind the scenes. Dixon and the Frogs have put together a solid compliment beneath the rim, and a freshman like Flemings may help TCU sustain their situation next offseason.
