Five-star Lawrence North wide receiver Monshun Sales tapped the Indiana Hoosiers over numerous competing offers, including the Alabama Crimson Tide and four from the Big 12 Conference.
Curt Cignetti and Indiana OC Mike Shanahan won the commitment of the No. 1 wideout in the Class of 2027 on Friday as a long recruiting battle comes to a close. Monshun left the Big 12, including offers from Arizona State, Colorado, Kansas and West Virginia, out of his final five schools: Texas, Alabama, Ohio State, LSU and Indiana.
As a junior, Sales caught 37 passes for 794 yards and nine touchdowns, while adding 56 combined tackles on defense. Lawrence North High School finished 7-3 overall with a postseason berth. The Indianapolis native is the No. 13 recruit in the country by 247 Sports, and it’s not entirely shocking that his final list of offers didn’t include a Big 12 program.
Sales recently visited with the Hoosiers in April and announced his decision live on the Pat McAfee Show this morning:
