England and GB Hockey announce a new partnership with Science in Sport (SiS), the world leading nutrition brand, as their Official Performance Nutrition Partner.

The partnership will see Science in Sport (SiS) support the senior men’s and women’s programmes with world-class nutrition and hydration as they prepare for a pivotal period that includes this summer’s World Cup, a home European Championships in 2027 and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Trusted by elite athletes and teams around the world, Science in Sport combines cutting-edge scientific research with evidence-based innovation to develop products that help athletes train harder, recover faster and perform when it matters most. SiS currently supports leading organisations including Tottenham Hotspur, Saracens and British Cycling amongst their roster of elite partners.

The England and GB Hockey performance team will work closely with experts at Science in Sport to ensure players have everything they need to be able to play at the highest level.

England and GB Hockey Performance Director, Bobby Crutchley, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with a brand like Science in Sport who are trusted and world-renowned nutrition experts.  They will offer us the right nutritional support to ensure our athletes can perform at the highest level.

“Nutrition and hydration are key to ensure our athletes can get the most out of their training and recovery and hugely contributes to performance on the pitch.

“As we look ahead to the World Cup this summer and our home European Championships next year, I am delighted that we have Science in Sport on side as our performance nutrition partner.”

SiS Senior Performance Nutritionist, Dr. Marc Fell, said: “We’re proud to partner with a programme that has such a rich Olympic history, from the men’s gold in Seoul 1988 to the women’s historic triumph in Rio 2016. As the squads build towards LA 2028, the demands of competing in hot conditions highlight the importance of hydration and fuelling strategies.

At SiS, our science-led, expert approach to nutrition continues to evolve, with growing insight into areas such as female athlete fuelling and personalised carbohydrate and hydration strategies. This partnership represents an exciting opportunity to work closely within a world-class performance environment, supporting athletes to optimise performance on the biggest stage.”
