MAX Field Hockey will recognize the top High School teams and players heading into the 2025 Fall High School season according to the following schedule:
Tuesday, August 19th: MAX Field Hockey Preseason Regional Top 20 & National Top 25 Team RankingsView the Final 2024 Team Rankings
Tuesday, August 26th: MAX Field Hockey Preseason Regional Players to WatchView the 2024 All-Region Awards
TEAM RANKINGS INFORMATION:
MAX Field Hockey’s Preseason High School Rankings are based heavily on the previous Fall’s Final Rankings and team performances. As much as possible, seniors graduated and key returning players are taken into consideration, but complete information is not always available for each program. Historic dominance and success at the highest level and in the postseason are a major factor. MAX Field Hockey’s general ranking philosophy: you must prove it on the field and beat the best and ranked teams to move onto and up the rankings! As that happens, these rankings will change.

PLAYER AWARD INFORMATION:
MAX Field Hockey recognizes the Top 40 players from each region that we expect big things from in the 2025 High School season (top 50 for PA). We do accept nominations, but do not require them. Returning players who were recognized as 2024 MAX Field Hockey First & Second Team All-Region automatically roll over to Preseason Players to Watch. Something to keep in mind- these are major awards. Players being nominated should already be one of the top players in her state. They should be recognized at the local and state level as such (All-State, All-Conference, etc.).

A note about High School Awards & Nominations:
We always accept nominations for these awards. Anyone can submit a player or coach nomination (HS coach, club coach, parent, AD, fan, etc.). This does not mean a player or coach HAS to be nominated to receive an award. We do our own leg work and follow teams and players closely year after year. We do not want a deserving player to miss out because their coach forgets to or typically doesn’t submit nominations like this. That being said, we do prefer to receive player nominations from high school coaches, but we will consider all nominations.
We get a wide range of quality in the nominations we receive. The more detailed and complete nominations are much easier to consider and tend to make our list, so if you believe you have a deserving player or coach, make sure to submit a complete and quality nomination form.
