Thursday, April 30, 2026: Hockey Ireland today announced that High Performance Director Lisa Jacob will step away from her role to pursue a new professional opportunity.
Lisa joined Hockey Ireland in 2020 and has made an outstanding contribution across several key roles within the organisation’s High Performance programme. She initially served as Team Manager and Assistant Coach to the Women’s National Team before being appointed High Performance Director in 2022.
Since taking on the role, Lisa has provided strong leadership, professionalism and strategic direction to Hockey Ireland’s High Performance system. Under her guidance, the Senior National Teams have achieved significant success, including the men’s team qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games and securing a top 10 finish, as well as both the men’s and women’s teams qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
These achievements mark a significant milestone for Irish hockey and reflect the standards, ambition and performance culture that Lisa has helped to build.
Beyond results on the field, Lisa has been deeply committed to athlete development, staff collaboration and strengthening the structures — particularly at National Pathway level — that will support sustained success into the future. Her energy, commitment and passion for Hockey Ireland have been greatly valued by colleagues, athletes and the wider hockey community.
