Hockey1: Steven Stewart Re-elected To Hockey One League Board

Hockey One League is pleased to announce the re-election of Steven Stewart to its Board at the League’s Annual General Meeting, held in Melbourne on 29 May 2026.

Mr Stewart was first elected to the Hockey One League Board in 2023 and has served as Chair since January 2026. His re-election reflects the confidence of members in his leadership, experience and ongoing contribution to the strategic direction of the League.

Fellow Board director Sandra Sully paid tribute to his impact.

“Steven brings strong leadership, sound governance experience and a deep commitment to the future of hockey in Australia,” Ms Sully said. “Since taking on the Chair role earlier this year, he has provided important stability and direction, and we are delighted to see him re-elected.”

Mr Stewart said he looked forward to the next phase of the League’s development.

“Hockey One has an important role to play in showcasing elite talent, growing our sport’s profile and creating meaningful connections with fans and communities across the country. I look forward to continuing to work with my fellow directors, member associations and stakeholders to support that mission.”

The AGM provided an opportunity for Hockey One League to reflect on recent progress and reaffirm its commitment to delivering a dynamic, high-quality national competition that strengthens the sport across Australia.
