The Tulp Hoofdklasse Women gets ready for play round 5, with the top match SCHC-Den Bosch. Will SCHC finally manage to win again against their great rival? Check all the facts for this weekend’s six matches here.

AMSTERDAM – TILBURGSaturday, October 4, 16:30

Head-to-head record6 games3 wins Amsterdam3 draws

What the stats say

Amsterdam remained unbeaten in six matches with Tilburg but already lost six points against the Tilburgers (W3 D3).
Amsterdam scored 22 goals in six matches with Tilburg and won twice by very large numbers: 7-0 in 2022 and 0-7 in 2024.
Amsterdam scored 14 goals in the first four games. Only SCHC had a more productive start (eighteen goals).
Tilburg started the season with four defeats and has already lost five games in a row in the Hoofdklasse.
There has been no shortage of goals in Amsterdam’s last thirteen games at Wagener Stadium. Since the start of last season, 74 goals fell in those thirteen matches, an average of 5.70 goals per game. Amsterdam scored 47 goals in that series, the opponents 27.

BLOEMENDAAL – KAMPONGSunday, October 5, 12:45 pm

Head-to-head record42 matches8 wins Bloemendaal27 wins Kampong7 draws

What the stats say

Kampong only lost two points in its last four underdogs with Bloemendaal: W W D W.
Kampong is nine games in a row without losing in away matches against Bloemendaal (W7 D2) since a 3-2 defeat at ‘t Kopje on 5 October 2014.
Bloemendaal, along with SCHC and Kampong, are the only team still unbeaten in this season (W2 D2).
Including the closing stages of last season, Kampong has been unbeaten for seven matches in a row (D D W W W D) since a 4-1 defeat at Den Bosch on 13 April this year.
Bloemendaal – including the team’s previous premier league season (2023-2024) – has been unbeaten for six matches in a row (W2 D4). Only in the October-November 1994 period did the team have such a strong series (W4 G2). Seven matches in a row without a loss therefore means a new club record for The Mussen.

HGC – ORANGE-ROODSunday, October 5, 12:45pm

Head-to-head record9 matches4 wins HGC2 wins Oranje-Rood3 draws

What the stats say

HGC lost the last mutual match against Oranje-Rood (0-2), while before that the team did not lose to the Eindhoven side seven times in a row (W4 D3).
HGC could only win two of its last 12 home games: twice against Rotterdam (3-2 and 2-0). The team further played three draws and suffered seven defeats in that series.
Oranje-Rood only scored two goals in the first four matches of the season. Only straggler Rotterdam scored less (once).
It has often been all or nothing for Oranje-Rood in recent months. The Eindhoven players drew only once in their last 21 matches in the Hoofdklasse. The other twenty matches ended in seven wins and thirteen losses.
HGC recruit Mikki Roolaart is in fine form at the start of the league. The striker, who came over from Leonidas, has scored in each of her last three games, including the opening goal twice.

SCHC – DEN BOSCHSunday, October 5, 12:45 pm

Head-to-head record43 matches7 wins SCHC25 wins Den Bosch11 draws

What the stats say

SCHC won only two of the last 19 regular league matches with Den Bosch (G8 V9): 0-1 on 27 March 2022 and 1-3 on 11 September 2022.
On its own field, SCHC already failed to win nine matches against Den Bosch in the regular league: D L L L L D D D L.
SCHC’s last home victory over Den Bosch in league play was a 3-2 on 29 March 2015, when SCHC. Carlien Dirkse van den Heuvel, Maike Stöckel and Michelle van der Pols scored that day for SCHC, Lidewij Welten and Maartje Paumen for the visitors.
SCHC won its last nine matches in the Hoofdklasse since a 1-1 at Den Bosch on 30 March this year. The team scored 36 goals in that series, an average of four goals per match.
Den Bosch started the season with two wins and two losses. A defeat against SCHC marks the first time in 30 (!) years that the team has lost three times in the first five rounds of play in a Hoofdklasse season.
Yibbi Jansen stands at 99 penalty corner goals on behalf of SCHC in the Hoofdklasse. Her next blasting drag flick from head circle will thus mark an anniversary for the World Player of the Year.

ROTTERDAM – HDMSunday, October 5, 12:45 pm

Head-to-head record42 matches17 wins Rotterdam13 wins HDM12 draws

What the stats say

Rotterdam won two and lost three of its last eight matches against HDM in the Hoofdklasse. Three times it drew.
On its own pitch, Rotterdam waits six matches for a win against HDM: D D D L L L. The last home victory over the Hague players dates from 1 March 2009: 5-1, including two goals by Claire Verhage.
With one goal from four games, Rotterdam is the least productive team in the Hoofdklasse for the time being. Only Melle Vaessen scored this season.
HDM won its last three matches in the Hoofdklasse, after the 2-0 defeat at SCHC on the first round. In 2022, HDM last managed to win three in a row.
HDM is experiencing its best league start since 2020-2021: when the team even won its first seven games of the season.

PINOKÉ – HURLEYSunday, October 5, 12:45pm

Head-to-head record40 matches11 wins Pinoké15 wins Hurley14 draws

What the stats say

Pinoké won the last two matches with Hurley. Before that, the team remained winless six times in a row against the formation from Amstelveen (D D D L L D).
On their own pitch, the numbers are better for Pinoké: the Stikneuzen are already eight consecutive home duels unbeaten against Hurley (W4 D4) since a 0-3 defeat on 22 November 2015.
In Pinoké’s last seven home matches against Hurley, only 13 goals in total fell and never more than two per match.
Pinoké recorded their first win of this season last Sunday at Rotterdam (1-4), after a false start with a draw and two defeats.
Hurley won only one of its last eight away games in the Hoofdklasse (D5 L2): a 0-4 at HDM on 23 March this year.
Hurley has struggled to score in away games. The last 21 matches on foreign soil yielded only 25 goals. Only once in that series did the team score more than two goals: in that 0-4 against HDM.
