The Minnesota Wild remain flexible to add according to their GM

Michael Russo of The Athletic: The Minnesota Wild have just under $3 million in projected salary cap space. They can also trade someone to clear more space. GM Bill Guerin, when asked if he thinks they could acquire a top center (… Dylan Larkin).

“We remain flexible. Right now, we’re just gonna focus on the guys that we’ve got, and we’ll continue to look at everything that’s out there. If there’s something that makes sense that’ll make our team better, we will do it.”

Potential trade targets for the Pittsburgh Penguins

Dan Kingerski of Pittsburgh Hockey Now: Looking at some potential trade targets for the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins are working with just under $17 million in cap space.

Top Tier trade targets

Jason Robertson – Dallas Stars – Any deal would cost at least three first-round calibre assets, and likely another piece.

Alexander Nikishin and Jesperi Kotkaniemi – Carolina Hurricanes – The cost would be high, but they’d be getting a future top-pairing defenseman. Kotkaniemi needs a change of scenery.

Kirill Marchenko – Columbus Blue Jackets – Their leading goal scorer for the past three years with 23, 31, and 27. The GMs have dealt with each other before.

Frank Vatrano and Alex Killorn – Anaheim Ducks – They may need to move salary. Vatrano comes in at $4.57 million and Killorn at $6.25 million. What type of sweetener can they get?

Second-Chance, Last-Chase Rescues

Cole Perfetti – Winnipeg Jets  – Was a natural center but has been playing on the left wing. The 24-year-old went from 18 goals and 50 points to 12 goals and 32 points last season. Filed for salary arbitration.

Kirby Dach – Montreal Canadiens – The 25-year-old has never had more than 14 goals and 38 points as a third overall pick. Was qualified at $4 million.

Will No-Trade and No-Movement Clauses Become a CBA Issue?

Shane Wright – Seattle Kraken – Fourth overall pick in 2022 wants to be a top-six center but went from 19 goals and 44 points to 12 goals and 27 points last season. The Kraken will want a solid return for Wright.
