Arizona State continued its strong recruiting momentum this week by securing a commitment from 2026 wide receiver Jeremiah Johnson, flipping him from Navy.
Johnson announced his decision over the weekend, giving Kenny Dillingham and the Sun Devils another notable addition to their recruiting class. The talented receiver had attracted attention from multiple programs but ultimately chose Arizona State after building strong relationships with the coaching staff. Arizona State was his only Power 4 offer, and it came in at the last minute.
Wide receivers coach Hines Ward played a significant role in Johnson’s recruitment. The former NFL star has quickly become one of the program’s biggest recruiting assets since arriving in Tempe, helping Arizona State attract talented pass catchers who want to develop under one of the most accomplished receivers in football history.
Johnson, a 6-foot-2, 200-pounder who had 17 catches for 344 yards and seven touchdowns in just six games played as a senior, said the Sun Devils had made a diligent effort to fill what could be their final 2026 roster spot.
Johnson has established himself as a dynamic playmaker with the ability to create separation and make explosive plays down the field. His athleticism and versatility have made him one of the more intriguing prospects for Arizona State in the 2026 recruiting cycle.
