Trey Tagliaferri is one of the top quarterbacks in the 2028 class.
From Oradell, New Jersey (Bergen Catholic High School), he’s ranked as the No. 14 overall quarterback in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite.
As such, it’s no surprise that many schools have been after his commitment. His offer list features over 30 programs, with several blue bloods remaining toward the top of his list when it came time for him to make a decision.
Ultimately, though, Tagliaferri committed to Marcus Freeman and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The Oklahoma Sooners and Penn State Nittany Lions were also strongly in the running. Other notable offers were from Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Ohio State.
The connection not just to Notre Dame as an institution, but the folks in South Bend, is what really stood out to Tagliaferri.
