Offense was the name of the game on Thursday, with the Sox six affiliates combining to score 47 runs. The ACL White Sox led the way with 13 runs, while the Knights and Dash each plated nine.

The affiliates also combined for 11 home runs, as Caleb Bonemer, George Wolkow, and Anthony DePino were among those to leave the yard.

Triple-A Charlotte Knights (36-30)

Trailing 8-6 in the eighth inning, the Knights mounted a comeback that culminated in a 9-8 walk-off win against the Oklahoma City Comets. Michael Turner and Korey Lee notched back-to-back doubles in the bottom of the ninth to send the Charlotte fans home happy.

Dustin Harris and Caden Connor homered in the win, with Connor turning on a well-inside Jake Eder curveball for his fifth longball of the season.

Ben Peoples logged two scoreless innings to lower his ERA to 2.27 and his WHIP to 1.17 in 31.2 innings this year.

Double-A Birmingham Barons (23-37)

The Barons found themselves ahead 8-0 after four innings on Thursday and never looked back, shutting out the Biloxi Shuckers. Gabe Davis turned in his first scoreless start as a Baron, striking out three over four frames. Carson Jacobs, Aric McAtee, and Nick Altermatt combined to blank Biloxi the rest of the way.

Anthony DePino continued his strong play with Birmingham, going deep for the fifth time and bringing his AA OPS to .912 in 27 games. Jacob Burke also went yard in the win, and Jordan Sprinkle stole his 25th base of the year.

High-A Winston-Salem Dash (34-26)

All nine Dash batters recorded a hit in Thursday’s 9-1 victory over the Greenville Drive. Four of the team’s 11 hits left the yard, with Caleb Bonemer launching his 18th home run of the season, George Wolkow drilling his ninth, Kaleb Freeman hitting his fifth, and James Taussig notching his first as a member of the Dash.

On the mound, Justin Sinibaldi stayed hot, delivering his first scoreless outing of the season. Sinibaldi has now allowed just two earned runs over his last 17.0 innings of work.

Winston Salem dashed around the basepaths all game, with Ryan Burrowes swiping three bases to give himself 21 steals on the year. Kyle Lodise also notched his 21st steal, while Alex Ungar and Bryce Eblin each pulled off successful heists of their own.

Single-A Kannapolis Cannon Ballers (31-29)

Although it was a little closer than their 15-2 win on Wednesday, the Cannon Ballers still picked up a “W” on Thursday as they took down the Fredericksburg Nationals 6-4.

Tied at three in the bottom of the seventh, Kannapolis mounted a rally that saw four-straight walks followed by an Efren Teran single to put the team ahead 6-3. The FredNats got one back in the eighth, but Landen Payne shut the door in the final frame to pick up his fifth save of the season. The Sox 18th-round pick from last season now owns a 1.64 ERA and 1.14 WHIP across 22.0 innings with Kannapolis.

ACL White Sox (10-20)

The ACL White Sox were the lone affiliate with quiet bats Thursday, scoring just two in an eight-run loss at the hands of the ACL Royals. Jose Mendoza drove in both of the team’s runs with a two-run homer in the second inning.

Starting pitcher Justin Fuson struggled, conceding nine runs over three innings before Brandon Drury tacked on the Royals’ tenth and final run in the fourth inning with a solo homer.

DSL White Sox (3-5)

The DSL White Sox dropped a rollercoaster of a game 14-13 to the DSL Mariners. The Sox jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the second inning, but couldn’t hang on despite scoring another seven runs over the course of the game.

Sebastian Romero drilled a two-run homer in the loss, his fifth of the season in just game number eight. Ronald Cardozo also went deep in the losing effort.
