Hats off to adidas marketing’s team again, already well represented on our homepage and in our archives, for stepping out of their orange-tinted media room and keeping that same celebrated energy intact. Of course, the peripherals surrounding the adidas Anthony Edwards 2 have been stellar, but it’s the framing of the adidas Believe That 1 that’s been particularly effective of late, presented not as a “takedown” but as a “takeover,” contextualized alongside Ant’s signature shoe as a mixtape to its album.
Anticipation remains high for what next season might bring, either from the new pairing of LaMelo Ball and Mr. Edwards or from the debut of the adidas Anthony Edwards 3. In the interim, the Believe That 1 is doing a sensible job of bringing heat to summer, now making an unexpected headline as collector @_cbake shares a sample colorway. Coated in Bulldogs red throughout much of its real estate, it departs from what the AE2 and AE1 have expressed with chrome siding, doing well to align with the actual CD printout included in this seeding package.
As noted in his post and on the product tags inside, this is a sample colorway; it’s unclear whether this was left on the cutting room floor or if this is a way-ahead preview of a pair actually in the works.
