adidas Dame 10 “Butter” | SneakerNews.com

Damian Lillard and his Milwaukee Bucks will aim to add the Oakland product’s first-ever NBA championship come April, but the superstar point guard is already making history. The dawn of his adidas Dame X model makes him just one of two Three Stripes hoopers to maintain a signature line through ten editions. Though we’re still a bit removed from when consumers can expect to grab the economically-minded silhouette, we’re continuing to get a sense of what it offers via first looks like the one Sneaker News is happy to deliver here, the adidas Dame X “Butter.”

On a performance level, the main calling card of the Dame X is its status as the first sub-$100 shoe in the adidas catalog to boast Lightstrike, the company’s foremost basketball cushioning package. In that way, it’s a further refinement of the Dame 9 legacy, a concept that continues onto the structure of the model. Flattening out its predecessor’s inner/outer split, the Dame X still sports the dominant futuristic design language that marks modern adidas Basketball propositions, evident with the sharp lines in the midsole and the abstract interpretation of the brand’s trademark at the quarter.

In contrast to the “Core Black” that delivered a tonal look, here we get a three-way split between deep blue on the interior, black anchoring on the top third, and “Butter Yellow” dominating the rest of the real estate. With the benefit of official images, we can also make out another defining characteristic: the logline for the model and Lillard’s geographic origins are each etched into the outsole traction along with a personal motto on the outer edge, promising in part that, eventually, “the discipline to endure victory becomes a matter of time.”

Expect the adidas Dame X “Butter” to release in September 2025. Continuing a price-conscious bend for his signature line, the silhouette carries a $90 retail price. During the long layoff between this writing and the pair’s arrival, further familiarize yourself with the model via the official images below.
