Anthony Edwards Debuts His Budget adidas Believe That 1

Business remains booming for adidas and Anthony Edwards, either one certainly rubbing their hands together as the Timberwolves captured a 2-1 lead against the Denver Nuggets and push closer to bigger and bigger stages in the playoffs. If the opportunity presented by these national TV spotlights wasn’t already evident, sponsor and sponsee showcased the benefits in the pre-game before the long-time rivals squared off, as Anthony Edwards debuted his adidas Believe That 1 in warmups.

Though we’ve caught early looks and in-hand shots at the Believe That before, receiving Ant’s on-court stamp is notable all the same. The first in a budget line that runs below his signature series, the Believe That 1 simplifies the contours of his first two silhouettes, creating an obvious tie to the AE1 with the wavy cut-out synthetics at the quarter. A notable departure is a shift away from the bootie interiors that paced not just Edwards’ work, but truly all of their current signature athletes on the hardwood from Harden to Lillard.

This also marks a new colorway, though perhaps not the most groundbreaking one, here coated in all-white through its outer shell before utilizing some tasteful black for his logo on the tongue and trim down the collar. Icy translucent traction also peeks out from below.

This clear-out for the Dreamstrike-powered budget model comes just a week before an expected release. Retail calendars have the adidas Believe That 1 listed for a May 1st release, clocking in at $80 in adult sizing and $70 in Grade School.
