Former UConn guard Jacob Furphy has reportedly found a new home, and it’ll be with a coach he knows well.
Furphy has committed to Boston College, according to multiple reports. He’ll play for former UConn assistant Luke Murray, who has taken over as head coach at BC.
The 6-6 guard played in just 14 games as a freshman last season, averaging just 2.4 minutes per. The Australian native was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2025, landing in the Top 100 in 247Sports’ rankings.
Murray and his staff have already landed four transfers in the portal: guard Money Williams from Montana, Merrimack guard Ernest Shelton, Northeastern guard JB Frankel and Fairfield forward Brandon Benjamin.
UConn has added Seton Hall big man Najai Hines, Duke forward Nikolas Khamenia, and Stanford center Oskar Giltay.
