The Don of The ‘Land took a blow when his new running mate James Harden went down with an injury just seven games into his Cavaliers tenure, sending Cleveland on a bit of a rollercoaster through February. As had been a common thread throughout his career, Donovan Mitchell will once again have to pick up the slack himself, continuing to duke it out with the Knicks, Celtics, and Pistons among the East’s top contenders.
Here we have an upcoming adidas DON Issue #7 that pairs nicely with the Cavs gold-tinged retro jerseys, taken almost entirely in black. The stripes are formed from white dots, while gold hits land on the midfoot plate, heel logo, and Spida’s signature logo on the tongue. The adidas DON Issue #8 should get a proper unveiling soon (assuming adidas sticks to its established cadence), but these should hold up just fine for now. The Issue #7 is the first Donovan Mitchell shoe to feature a zippered shroud, joined by a Lightstrike Pro midsole and padded, almost sock-like interior.
