The Nike Book 2 is officially here, dropping today in the “Rising” colorway to begin the second chapter of his signature shoe journey. Devin’s celebrating this monumental day by revealing a new Player Exclusive of his model dubbed the “Black Tie”, bringing a sharp and tailored look to the Spiridon-inspired model.

Thus far, the Nike Book 2 PEs have been very understated in comparison to the library of colorways of the Book 1. This version sticks to an all-black upper, with a mesh overlay matching the mudguard to reveal lace eyelets underneath. White stripes add that upscale tuxedo-esque two-toned look, repeated on the midsole and outsole combination. The only pop of color is revealed on the BOOK logo on the tongue, appearing in a PHX-friendly orange hue.

With releases like the “Rising” and the upcoming “Phoenix” on January 16th, it’s interesting to see that the retail versions of the Book 2 are thus far exceeding the PEs in terms of detailing and concept. It’s still early in the season, and there are plenty of Book 2 PEs to surface, so stay tuned as we follow along the journey throughout 2026.
