Rarely do signature shoe lines enjoy such a smooth handoff from one model to the next. For Devin Booker, 2026 marks the official transition from the Nike Book 1 to the Book 2, and Nike has the perfect rollout to symbolize that passing of the torch. Following the “Torched” Book 1 on December 30th comes a duo of Book 2 colorways arriving in January 2026: a black “Rising” and an orange-forward “Phoenix,” both nodding to themes of rebirth and renewal while paying homage to the city Booker calls home.

The “Phoenix” colorway is inarguably the more intriguing of the two, featuring a fully molded, almost Foamposite-like upper rendered in varying shades of orange. Attention immediately goes to the Swoosh, which employs lenticular branding with shifting flame graphics. Sun-inspired radial traction on the outsole reinforces the mythology-driven theme, even though that detail isn’t exclusive to this pair.

The Nike Book 2 “Phoenix” releases January 16th, 2026 for $145 USD via Nike and select retailers. See detailed images below and hit our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse more upcoming basketball releases.
