Nike KD 19 “Candy Apple” Releases June 17th

Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant are the only people in history with more total signature sneakers than Kevin Durant, a fact that says everything about the 16-time All-Star’s place in basketball and footwear history. Joining the ongoing Nike KD 6 retro run is the all-new KD 19, a futuristic silhouette that stands as a testament to how far sneaker design has come since the Easy Money Sniper’s signature line kicked off in 2009.

The KD 19 is following the Converse Shai 001 playbook with nothing but monochrome colorways out of the gate, each carrying a food or drink-inspired nickname. Here we have the Nike KD 19 “Candy Apple,” a perfect Houston Rockets colorway drenched in University Red from heel to toe. The molded synthetic shell’s natural sheen fits the carnival snack nickname perfectly, while the all-red colorway and lightning bolt-esque side detailing continue to fuel the model’s likeness to The Flash.
